A lost key, a spare to make, a car that will not start because of the immobiliser: all of these go through the vehicle's immobiliser system. Incarline codes keys at its workshop in Lodève (Hérault, France). PIN codes are read remotely from the control units you send us, for Renault, Peugeot, Citroën, DS and the Volkswagen group.
Every job is subject to an owner check: vehicle registration document and ID.

Which service for your situation?
- You have a working key and want a spare: key duplication (blade and transponder), or a key with remote.
- You have lost all your keys: this is a total loss. The PIN code must be read, the old keys erased from the car's memory, and new keys coded.
- You need the PIN code, to code a key or replace a control unit: remote PIN code reading.
- The immobiliser prevents the car from starting although the mechanics are sound: immobiliser deactivation in the engine ECU (Immo Off).
The PIN code, cornerstone of the immobiliser
The PIN code, or immobiliser code, is unique to each vehicle. It is stored in its control units: the UCH on Renault, the BSI on Peugeot and Citroën, the engine ECU and instrument cluster in the Volkswagen group. It is needed to code a new key or bring a replacement control unit into service. It cannot be calculated from the VIN: it has to be read from the units' memory.
Remote or at the workshop?
PIN codes are read remotely: you send us the units specified in the quote (engine ECU, UCH, BSI or instrument cluster, depending on make, model and year), and we send you the code. Key coding, on the other hand, requires the car to be at our Lodève workshop. When the car cannot be moved, a visit can be considered depending on feasibility.
Owner check
No key is coded and no code is released without the vehicle registration document and ID in the owner's name. This check protects against vehicle theft and illegal resale: it is not negotiable.

- Report the loss (mandatory in case of theft), then order a total loss service: we read the PIN code, erase the old keys from the car's memory and code new keys. Erasing them stops a lost key from still starting your car.
