Peugeot, Citroën, DS Pin Code Reading — BSI and Immobiliser
For vehicles from the PSA group (Peugeot, Citroën, DS), the pin code is a unique 4-digit code for each vehicle, stored in the BSI (Body Control Unit) and used by the immobiliser to validate the car keys. This code is necessary for many operations: coding a new car key, replacing a BSI, programming an engine ECU, recovering a vehicle immobilised after an electronic failure.
At Incarline, we extract your PSA pin code from the vehicle's units — on-site at the workshop, or 100% remotely by sending us the engine ECU and the BSI. Price starting from €49. Quote within 24 working hours. Identity verification required (vehicle registration document + ID).
Important: contrary to popular belief, the PSA pin code cannot be calculated from the VIN (chassis number). It is stored in the memory of the vehicle's electronic units and can only be obtained by directly reading these units.

When Do You Need the PSA Pin Code?
- Loss of all car keys — coding a new car key
- Adding an additional car key (spare key)
- BSI replacement (failure, cloning on new donor BSI requiring coding)
- Engine ECU replacement (immobiliser re-pairing)
- Unlocking after failed coding attempt by an unequipped professional
- Transmission to the new owner when selling the vehicle
How to Obtain Your PSA Pin Code
Option 1: On-Vehicle Reading (workshop)
Via Lexia/PP2000 or DiagBox (PSA manufacturer tools) or certified multi-brand equivalent. We read the pin code stored in the BSI. Duration: 15 to 30 minutes. Requires the vehicle to be present at our workshop.
Option 2: Extraction from Sent Units (100% remotely)
If the vehicle cannot be moved, disassemble and send us the engine ECU and the BSI. On PSA, the pin code is synchronised between these two units: we extract it by directly reading their memory, then we transmit it to you — without ever having to move the car. Timeframe: 48 hours after receipt.
PSA Specificity: Two Types of Systems
- Immo II System (older models 1998-2004): 4-digit code stored in the BSI. Reading by direct access to the units' EEPROM memory.
- Immo IV System (models 2004 and onwards): more complex cryptographic authentication, but the pin code remains stored in the BSI. Reading requires recent tools compatible with SKREM / SKP.
We handle both systems — specify your model and year when requesting a quote to guide the method.
