Gearbox in limp mode, jerky shifts, flashing warning light? We clone the gearbox control unit onto a healthy unit, with no trip to the dealer.
An automatic gearbox that goes into limp mode, shifts harshly or refuses to engage a gear often has a faulty transmission control unit (TCU, or TCM). Incarline does not repair this unit component by component: we clone it. Its data (calibration, pairing with the engine ECU, learned adaptations) is transferred to a healthy unit with the same part number, and the gearbox works again with no trip to the dealer.
Units are shipped to us from all over France, to our workshop in Lodève (Hérault).

Symptoms of a failing gearbox control unit
- gearbox stuck in limp mode, often in 3rd gear;
- jerks when shifting or pulling away;
- unexpected shifts into neutral;
- flashing gearbox indicator (P R N D S), gearbox fault message.
These symptoms can also come from mechanical wear (clutches, hydraulic block). Cloning only deals with the electronics: have the control unit failure confirmed by a diagnosis before sending it.
What to send us
Only the electronic board (the control unit), separated from the hydraulic block, together with a donor unit with exactly the same part number, new or used. Do not send the complete mechatronic unit: we do not need the hydraulic block, and its weight drives up shipping costs. If in doubt, send us a photo before shipping.
Process, turnaround and warranty
We read the memory of your original unit, write it to the donor, then check the result. Allow 48 to 72 hours of workshop processing, plus shipping. DHL collection and return are included in the fixed price, and the work carries a one-year warranty.
Learned adaptations are transferred: once the unit is refitted, no gearbox relearn and no dealer visit are needed.
