Automotive Electronic Diagnostics — Multi-brand Fault Finding
A warning light that comes on, an intermittent fault, unexplained power loss, abnormal behavior of a driver assistance system... A thorough electronic diagnostic is often the only way to identify the real cause of a fault in a modern vehicle. At Incarline, we go far beyond a simple fault code reading: we analyze real-time CAN frames, test sensors under load, check grounds and power supplies, and cross-reference data from multiple ECUs.
Our workshop is equipped with official manufacturer diagnostic tools (or certified professional equivalents) for each major brand, allowing access to specific fault codes and parameters that a generic OBD scanner cannot read. Package starting at €69 incl. VAT, precise quote within 24 working hours.
This service requires the vehicle to be present at our workshop — request your free quote.
When to perform an electronic diagnostic?
- Engine light (MIL), ABS light, airbag light, ESP light on or flashing
- Unexplained power loss, limp mode activation
- Intermittent fault that appears and disappears without apparent reason
- Message on the instrument cluster: "service required", "anti-pollution system faulty", "emergency service", etc.
- Abnormal fuel consumption, misfires, black/blue smoke
- Abnormal battery drain when parked
- Before purchasing a used vehicle (pre-purchase check)
- After a technical inspection failure due to electronic fault
- Malfunction of a driver assistance system (cruise control, ABS, ESP, power steering)
- Before undertaking a costly repair recommended by another garage — second opinion
What our diagnostic includes
- Complete reading of all ECUs in the vehicle (not just the engine): ABS, airbag, BCM/BSI, transmission, air conditioning, ADAS, battery, power steering...
- Recording and interpretation of fault codes (DTC) — active codes, stored codes, frequency of occurrence
- Analysis of real-time parameters (Live Data): pressures, temperatures, RPM, lambda sensors, MAP, MAF, injector flow rates, sensor positions
- Active tests: remote control of actuators (fans, relays, injectors, EGR, turbo...) to isolate the fault
- Verification of CAN frames: communication between ECUs, loss of dialogue, bus errors
- Checking grounds and power supplies with an ammeter clamp and professional multimeter
- Written intervention report: summary of faults found, probable cause, repair recommendations, estimated quote

- And all major European, Asian, and American brands via professional multi-brand tools (Autel MaxiSys, Launch X431 Pro)
Types of diagnostics offered
Standard diagnostic — from €69
Complete fault code reading on all ECUs, interpretation, written report, recommendations. Ideal for a warning light or a clearly identified fault. Duration: approximately 45 minutes.
In-depth diagnostic — from €149
Includes standard diagnostic + Live Data analysis (real-time parameters), active tests, electrical checks (grounds, power supplies), oscilloscope measurements if necessary. Ideal for an intermittent fault, a complex failure, or after an inconclusive initial diagnostic. Duration: 1h30 to 2h.
Pre-purchase check — from €99
Complete diagnostic before purchasing a used vehicle: electronic condition of all ECUs, verification of anti-theft parameters (ESP/ABS disabled, frozen mileage), history of permanent memory faults, instrument cluster consistency check, battery test. Report provided to the buyer for negotiation or purchase security.
Second opinion — custom quote
Another garage has announced a costly repair and you want independent confirmation? We perform a targeted diagnostic and provide a contradictory report — often an opportunity to avoid unnecessary intervention.
Procedure of the intervention
- Request a quote: specify via our form or by phone the model, year, engine type, and observed symptoms
- Quote within 24h with price and appointment slot
- Workshop intervention: duration 45 min (standard) to 2h (in-depth)
- Delivery of the written report with found fault codes, interpretation, probable cause, and estimated repair quote
- Optional follow-up: if the identified fault falls within one of our electronic repair services (EZS, BSI, FRM, ECU...), we can proceed directly without re-diagnosing
