ADAS Calibration — Driver Assistance Cameras and Radars

ADAS Calibration — Driver Assistance Cameras and Radars

ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) — adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, lane keeping assistance, traffic sign recognition, pedestrian detection, 360° cameras — rely on cameras and radars that are extremely sensitive to their orientation. A deviation of a few millimeters can completely distort their road reading and cause unintended or dangerous interventions.

At Incarline, we have the official manufacturer tools (calibration targets, certified diagnostic benches) to precisely recalibrate your cameras and radars according to original procedures — for all brands on the market.

This service requires the vehicle to be present at our workshop — it cannot be performed remotely. Request your free quote, we will respond within 24 business hours with precise pricing according to your model and the systems to be calibrated.

When to recalibrate your ADAS?

Recalibration is mandatory (and often mentioned in the manufacturer's manual) after the following interventions:

  • Windshield replacement — the front camera is mounted on it, its orientation changes systematically
  • Frontal impact, even minor, that may have deformed the radar or camera mount
  • Replacement of a radar (front, rear, side) or a camera
  • Wheel alignment — modifies the vehicle's axis, thus the sensor's viewing angle
  • Change of rims or tires with a different diameter
  • Suspension replacement (shock absorbers, lowered springs) altering the vehicle's height
  • After a bodywork repair that straightened a front or rear element

ADAS Systems We Calibrate

  • Front camera (at the interior rearview mirror level) — used by: lane keeping assistance (LKA/LKAS), traffic sign recognition (TSR), pedestrian detection, light detection
  • Front radar (usually behind the emblem or in the front bumper) — used by: adaptive cruise control (ACC), automatic emergency braking (AEB)
  • Rear radars (in the rear bumper) — blind spot monitoring (BSM), rear cross traffic alert (RCTA)
  • Side radars — blind spot detection
  • Reversing cameras and 360° cameras — parking assistance, surround view
  • Ultrasonic parking sensors
  • Rain/light sensor (at the back of the windshield)

Supported Brands and Models

We calibrate ADAS on almost all brands on the European market:

  • VAG Group: Volkswagen, Audi, Seat, Škoda, Porsche
  • Stellantis: Peugeot, Citroën, DS, Opel, Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Jeep, Chrysler
  • Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi: Renault, Dacia, Nissan, Mitsubishi
  • BMW Group: BMW, Mini
  • Mercedes-Benz: Class A, B, C, E, S, GLA, GLB, GLC, GLE, GLS
  • Toyota / Lexus
  • Ford, Volvo, Jaguar, Land Rover
  • Hyundai / Kia, Mazda, Honda
  • Tesla (Model 3, Model Y, Model S, Model X — depending on version)

Types of Calibration

  • Static calibration: performed in our workshop with a calibration target positioned at precise distance and height relative to the vehicle. This is the main method for most cameras and radars.
  • Dynamic calibration: carried out while driving on a defined route (straight line, constant speed sections, visible road markings). Required by some manufacturers in addition to static calibration.
  • Mixed calibration: static + dynamic, required by many manufacturers (Audi, Mercedes, Volvo…) to ensure accuracy.

Intervention Process

  1. Quote request via our contact form or by phone: specify your model, the ADAS systems to be calibrated, and the reason for the intervention (windshield changed, impact, etc.)
  2. Personalized quote within 24 business hours with pricing and available slot
  3. Appointment scheduling at our workshop
  4. Preliminary diagnostic of ADAS-related fault codes
  5. Geometry check (if necessary) to ensure correct vehicle alignment
  6. Static calibration with official targets, then dynamic calibration if required by the manufacturer
  7. Validation tests: activation of each system, verification of post-calibration fault codes
  8. Intervention report provided to the client with screenshots of calibration parameters

Duration and Warranty

  • Average duration: 1.5 to 3 hours depending on the number of systems to be calibrated and the vehicle model
  • 6-month warranty on calibration — excluding subsequent modification of geometry or ADAS systems
  • Intervention report systematically provided with recorded calibration parameters

Frequently asked questions

Answers to the questions we receive most often.

  • Because it requires the physical presence of your vehicle at our workshop — it is not a remote part intervention. Calibration demands millimetric positioning of targets at a fixed distance from the vehicle, a perfectly flat floor, and verified vehicle geometry. All these conditions can only be met in a workshop. For any request, use our quote form: we will respond within 24 hours with precise pricing tailored to your model.
