Renault Zoé Dethroned by Tesla

Renault was the leader in the electric market, the French brand had sold 17,651 units in the first half of 2020, marked by the lockdown, of course, but also by a very incentivizing state aid to acquire an electric vehicle. This year, it's the American brand Tesla that has outpaced Renault with more than 2,000 additional sales.

This 2021 ranking of electric car sales in France highlights the clear superiority of certain models. The Tesla Model 3, Renault Zoé, and Peugeot e-208 are far ahead of the Fiat 500e, which has nearly half the sales of Peugeot with its electric city car.
