Electronic diagnostic or auto diagnostic
Is an analysis performed by your IncarLine technician of the operational state of your vehicle's multiple systems. Thanks to the use of a "diagnostic tool", they can indeed detect all the malfunctions of the car in a few moments, without having to manually check each part one by one.
This type of diagnostic is possible on new or recent vehicles, which include a very significant amount of high technologies and electronic systems (driver assistance, safety devices), and which benefit from "multiplexing". That is to say, a communication support allowing the connection of the various onboard computers, and the centralization of information.
DISCOVER OUR ELECTRONIC DIAGNOSTIC SERVICES
Much more complex than in the past, modern cars are now equipped with a large number of electronic systems, which gradually replace the mechanics of yesteryear. To be able to check these vehicles during maintenance or determine the origin of a breakdown, an electronic diagnostic of the automobile must be carried out. What is it about? What are the essential tools?
WHEN SHOULD AN AUTO DIAGNOSTIC BE PERFORMED?
The vehicle diagnostic can be performed in the event of a breakdown, or when one of the dashboard warning lights comes on.
The nearest IncarLine professional is responsible for identifying the source of the problem and providing the quickest possible solution.
It is not always necessary to change the faulty part, sometimes a simple reset or reinitialization is sufficient. The electronic diagnostic can also be performed during the maintenance of your vehicle, the next date of which is indicated in the maintenance log. Thanks to these regular checks, it is possible to anticipate a future problem even before a warning light comes on or a breakdown occurs.
This allows you to drive a reliable car, and in complete safety.

How does the diagnostic tool work?
To be able to perform the car diagnostic, your IncarLine mechanic connects their diagnostic tool to the dashboard and performs an assessment. All the vehicle's systems are reviewed (engine, transmission, brakes, clutch). The multiplexing provides the complete list of control points to be carried out, as well as the vehicle's malfunction history. In case of a problem to be solved (maintenance to be carried out, breakdown to be repaired), the tool indicates the precise location, the system or subsystem concerned. This greatly speeds up the localization and resolution of breakdowns.
The diagnostic device can detect the slightest anomaly in the vehicle, even if no warning light has come on. The technician then only has to carry out the necessary interventions to solve the problem. Once the repair is carried out or the maintenance completed, the maintenance indicators are then reset. The diagnostic tool can also be used for other actions:
resetting valve sensors, setting the tire pressure target;
reprogramming onboard computers or ECUs after part maintenance;
changing electric parking brakes, replacing brake fluid.
